Doug Lederman

Doug Lederman helps lead the news organization's editorial operations, overseeing news content, opinion pieces, career advice, blogs and other features. Doug speaks widely about higher education, including on C-Span and National Public Radio and at meetings and on campuses around the country, and his work has appeared in The New York Times and USA Today, among other publications. Doug was managing editor of The Chronicle of Higher Education from 1999 to 2003. Before that, Doug had worked at The Chronicle since 1986 in a variety of roles, first as an athletics reporter and editor. He has won three National Awards for Education Reporting from the Education Writers Association, including one in 2009 for a series of Inside Higher Ed articles he co-wrote on college rankings. He began his career as a news clerk at The New York Times. He grew up in Shaker Heights, Ohio, and graduated in 1984 from Princeton University.
David Ho
Vice President, Content Strategy & Innovation + Senior Editor at Inside Higher Ed
David Ho guides the evolution of Inside Higher Ed’s website and digital platforms and oversees technology news coverage. David previously served as executive editor and vice president for digital at Hearst Newspapers. As executive mobile editor and product director at The Wall Street Journal, he built the WSJ mobile editorial team, wrote its mobile content algorithms and founded its family of news apps. David has taught mobile and digital skills to more than 4,700 journalists around the world and has worked on newsroom digital transformation. A national journalist for nearly 30 years, David’s coverage for The Associated Press and Cox Newspapers ranged from the White House, the United Nations and the pope to tech, telecom and terrorism. The U.S. Supreme Court cited David’s reporting in the historic Bush v. Gore ruling on the 2000 presidential election. Earlier, he was one of the original web developers for WSJ.com.
