Dr. Rosemary (Rose) Luckin
Professor of Learner Centered Design at the UCL Knowledge Lab
Dr. Rosemary (Rose) Luckin is a UCL professor renowned for her research into the design and evaluation of educational technology, in particular artificial intelligence (AI). She was named as one of the 20 most influential people in education in the Seldon List, 2017. Rose has published prolifically in academic journals, books and conference proceedings. Her 2018 book: Machine Learning and Human Intelligence: The Future of Education for the 21st Century, describes how AI can be used effectively to support teaching and learning. Rose is also founder of EDUCATE Ventures Research Ltd., a London hub for educational technology start-ups, researchers and educators involved in evidence-based educational technology and leveraging data and AI for educational benefit. Rose has taught in the secondary, further education and university sectors and is president of the Self-Managed Learning College in Brighton. She has also spent time in university management as a director of undergraduate studies and pro vice chancellor.
Dr. Nina Huntemann
Chief Academic Officer at Chegg
Nina Huntemann, Ph.D., is an education leader and advocate for student-centered learning and evidence-based teaching practices with more than two decades of experience in higher education and ed tech. She is chief academic officer of Chegg, and in this role, Dr. Huntemann defines, drives and communicates the learning strategy of Chegg’s content and services, and ensures that engagement with the Chegg platform improves outcomes for its 30 million learners. Prior to joining Chegg, she was the vice president of learning at edX, an open-source, online learning platform founded by Harvard University and MIT. Dr. Huntemann was a tenured professor at Suffolk University, where she taught media studies and communication to undergraduate and graduate students and served as director of a first-year experience program.
Clinton Oreofe
Student Body President at Suffolk University
Clinton Oreofe is a third-year politics, philosophy and economics major at Suffolk University and a two-term student body president. He has initiated key projects to alleviate food insecurity and financial barriers, such as providing free laundry services to all on-campus residents. Clinton’s experience includes internships with the Massachusetts House of Representatives and MassHousing’s Housing Stability team, where he gained valuable insights into policy advocacy and housing stability. His background in sales with Vivint Home Security has equipped him with strong communication skills, which he aims to use in promoting educational equality for K-12 students. Hailing from Houston, Texas, Clinton values diversity and is committed to giving back to his community.
