Captioning for the deaf and hard of hearing is provided by Ai-Media for all Inside Higher Ed webinars. Transcripts available upon request.

A missing document stalls an application. A deadline passes unnoticed. A struggling student goes weeks without talking to an advisor. Each one can quietly cost a college an enrollment, a retained student or a graduate.

Colleges and universities are turning to AI to get students the right support at the right time, and to free staff for the conversations that need a human being.

This session covers where to start, which use cases deliver value first, and how to do it without adding staff or straining already tight budgets.

American University of Antigua (AUA) College of Medicine is the first medical school to deploy Druid AI's enterprise agentic platform. In this fireside chat, learn what it took to go from first conversation to signed contract in 45 days, and to launch AUA's first AI agent, handling student conversations across chat and WhatsApp, in weeks instead of a semester.

What you'll learn:

  • Why AUA moved past a standard chatbot to agentic AI
  • How AUA deployed in weeks, not semesters, without adding or cutting staff
  • What's next: an outreach agent and an early-warning agent, added to the same platform
  • Practical steps for evaluating and piloting an AI use case with limited staff and budget

Can't attend the webinar? You should still register—all registrants will receive a recording of the webinar and a copy of the presentation slides.
